Jacqui Wicks came to prominence as the beguiling voice of legendary Bradford collective The Sex Patels.

Stepping out with her own band, she has just recorded her long awaited debut album, Vintage. Jacqui is a storyteller who believes in the power of the narrative song and her album features eclectic and unique renditions of songs by some of our finest lyricists Tom Waits, Bob Dylan and Nick Drake amongst other timeless standards.

Vintage is a, genre defying album full of music that shaped the 20th century. The live performances of these songs form an intimate and celebratory experience that will leave a tear in the eye and a skip in the heart. Be prepared to be entertained and moved.

Manga Management was started in early 2008 by Manga and Anime lovers and was known as Manga Pop; now with over 20 members they set out to write, draw, and publish their own Manga. Manga Management have just decided to do short Webcomics based on everyday life; artists have yet to be decided and the group are looking for people to help! Manga Management’s main project is a series of short stories compressed into one Manga !

Manga is great for all ages, your first introduction to this art and literature form could be at the Manga Convention held during the Huddersfield Literature Festival week.
