Writing Intensive Days provide writers with the opportunity to take part in a day long workshop led by a professional writer. Each workshop will focus on a particular aspect of writing or skill set. Our first Writing Intensive Day will focus on using historical events as inspiration for writing and will be led by Sue McCormick.

Sue is Associate Director of Demi-Paradise Productions and her work has been produced at The Dukes Lancaster, Lancaster Castle and by Radio 4. She has written several plays inspired by local history including “Blood Red Roses” described as “The dark history of Lancaster Castle in words and music,” and “Wild as The White Waves”- The Life and Poetry of Edna St Vincent Millay which was performed at the Edinburgh Festival and on BBC Radio 4.
